Show something new: regional wines from Hungary

Pasi Ketolainen MW (11:00 – 11:45 Tuesday, 12th March)

Hungary’s wine regions are committed to making the most of their natural resources and cultural heritage, and to bringing out the best in a particular grape variety or unique combination of grape varieties. The wine world should become aware of these national treasures of Hungary – one of the richest legacies in the history of wine! Pasi Ketolainen, Master of Wine, will take guests to six wine regions, presenting wines made mainly from indigenous varieties such as Irsai Olivér from Mátra, Egri Csillag from Eger, Olaszrizling from Somló, Vulcanus from Badacsony and Kékfrankos from Szekszárd. The flight consists mainly of white wines, as recent market results show that Hungary is the second fastest growing white wine country in Pasi’s home country of Finland.
