Fischer Cabernet Franc, 2020

An international variety that is also highly popular in Hungary. It has achieved fame mainly in Bordeaux and along the Loire-valley, but it aczually originates from Brittany. Some theories suggest that its parents are the Basque varieties, Moreno and Hondarribi Beltza – although this has not been conclusively demonstrated yet. In terms of the quantity planted per country, Hungary currently ranks 4th. Planetd on the volcanic subsoil of the Szent György hill, our aim is to produce something special from this variety. Our Franc is characterised by a rich bouquet, refined, round and ripe fruity notes. Medium, round body, elegant spiciness and a full, ripe fruit, cherry and a finish with chocolate notes. Pair it with steaks, weightier stews, steak tartare, but best of all with a good boeuf bourguignon. Production area: 3 ha
