Pannonhalmi Prior White, 2022

A wine of uncommon purity, this flagship selection of Riesling opens with citrus aromas very characteristic of the variety, embodied in Mediterranean notes of tangerine and ripe orange, rather than the greenish tones the variety often produces in northern growing areas. Crystalline and pristine, the wine relies on a broad rather than sharp acid foundation – a sign of serious cellaring potential and the longevity of the minty fruit flavours. The solid acid backbone is beautifully balanced with a hint of residual sugar.
