Growing focus on dry Tokaj wines

Rose Murray Brown MW (15:00 – 15:45 Sunday, 10th March)

Alongside the great classics of the Hungarian wine world, Tokaj dry wines have attracted the attention of export markets in recent years. The revolution since the early 2000s has redefined the Tokaj wine region, bringing a previously unknown face to the Furmint, Hárslevelű and Sárgamuskotály grape varieties. Rose Murray Brown, Master of Wine takes us through six Tokaj dry wines in this style, starting with an elegant méthode traditionnelle sparkling wine, followed by a fragrant Sárgamuskotály, a fresh blend of Furmint and Hárslevelű, before focusing on the unique character of the two main varieties, Hárslevelű and Furmint.
